Honda CBR 600RR

A 3d model of a Honda CBR 600RR. This model has under 21,000 polygons, so it's as lightweight as it can be without sacrificing details. Enough detail to be your character's getaway vehicle, but lightweight enough to park outside your latest architectural presentation.

The textures of this model are contained in 5 unified UV Maps including 3 additional maps for the different paint jobs. There are also corresponding Reflection Maps for the alternate paint schemes (they are all named correspondingly). The remaining textures are Bump, Specular Color and finally, Transparency. This makes editing the paint job very easy and it will also keep your file neat. No one likes the idea of 50 different textures for a simple vehicle... Each Format comes with all of the 4096 X 4096 pixel Jpeg Textures.

The Photoshop files for the textures are also included (below in the accompanying files section) and contain many layers so you can tweak the colors & decals or go nuts with your own paint job! The resolution of all the textures is 4096x4096 pixels. This can be safely reduced to 1024x1024 without seeing any 'UV leaking'. Some hand painted occlusion is also included; it is on by default in the Jpeg Textures, but this layer can be turned off very easily in the Photoshop Files. You can see the result of the occlusion very clearly on the front fender of the bikes in the editor views above.

This model was developed for a real time rendering engine, hence the polygon count is within the margins of today's graphics cards and the model is also compatible with single sided rendering. (aka: back face culling)

This model was fabricated in Cinema 4D and as an added bonus, the Cinema 4D users that purchase the native format of this model will be pleasantly surprised by 2 Xpresso Sliders in the Attributes Manager when the bike is selected. I have included a slider that controls the steering angle (handlebars turning) and the other slider takes the bike from a vertical stance and gently places it on it's kickstand. For the other formats, the bike is included in a neutral 'pose'. The model is also divided into different 'masses' which will make animating it simpler. The 7 Masses are: The Main Body of the bike, Upper Forks, Lower Forks, Swingarm, Kickstand, Front Wheel and Rear Wheel.

The preview images were rendered with Cinema 4D R12, using the advanced renderer.

No 3rd party plugins are required.

All the file formats provided support UV coordinates, so no matter which file format you use, the texture should apply flawlessly. (you may have to create a new material and load the 5 textures into their respective channels.)

Technical Note: This model was designed with a 'Phong Smoothing' angle of 60° (also referred to as 'Normal Smoothing' or 'Normal Softness') so this would be your optimal setting in your 3D software.
